Firebase:

  • What it is: Firebase is a Google-backed platform that provides us with back-end infrastructure for our app. It helps us manage databases, user authentication, and analytics.
  • Data Sharing: Contestify.io stores contest data (including participant information and entries) in Firebase databases. We only collect data necessary to run the contests you create.
  • Security: Google maintains robust security practices to protect user data stored in Firebase.

Paystack:

  • What it is: Paystack is a secure payment gateway that allows you and your contest participants to process online payments for entry fees or other contest-related transactions.
  • Data Sharing: Contestify.io does not store any sensitive payment information, such as credit card details. All payment processing happens through Paystack's secure servers. We only receive confirmation of successful transactions from Paystack.
  • PCI-DSS Compliance: Paystack is PCI-DSS compliant. This industry-standard certification ensures they meet rigorous security measures for protecting cardholder data.

In Summary:

  • Contestify.io uses Firebase and Paystack to provide essential functionalities for running contests.
  • We only collect and store data necessary for contest management.
  • We do not share sensitive payment information with any third party.
  • Both Firebase and Paystack prioritize data security and adhere to strict compliance standards.
